Vital
The VITAL monitoring system was designed to optimize the recording of vital signs in emergency situations.
Changes in vital signs (pulse, breathing rate, blood pressure, and temperature) as well as other physical symptoms can indicate specific health conditions. Currently, in emergencies, vital signs are taken and recorded manually every 5 minutes.

The VITAL system consists of a wearable sensor and smartphone app. The VITAL sensor is a single-use product that is stored in a regular first aid kit and only removed in the case of an emergency where an ambulance is required.

The sensor records pulse, blood pressure, and breathing rate with a specialised algorithm using ECG monitors that are placed around the heart, as well as a thermometer placed in the armpit to accurately record body temperature.
